NOTICE
Game Tracker, Inc. of
Flushing, MI in cooperation with the U.S. Consumers Product Safety
Commission is
recalling
its Model 3163 Ultra Lite Climbing Stick with batch numbers 040501,
050501, and 060801 and
Models
3152 and 3153 Strap-on Tree Steps with
batch number 2899. This product is intended for use by
hunters as a climbing step
system to ascend to a treestand while hunting from heights. The recalled product, Model
3163 Ultra Lite Climbing Stick, consist of three separate climbing sticks,
gray in color, with black swivel
fold down foot pegs, and black strap and buckle system (Batch numbers are
printed on the gray main brace of the
stick).
The recalled product,
Models 3152 and 3153 Strap-on Tree Steps, consist of a black strap with a
metal J hook and black cast cam lock
buckle. They also contain an aluminum metal foot portion step (Batch
numbers are stamped on the side of the
metal step).
Some
tests of these products with batch serial numbers 040501, 050501, and
060801 on the Model 3163 Climbing
Stick and batch number 2899 on the Model 3152 or 3153 Strap-on Tree
Steps, have shown the metal
040501,
050501, and 060801 on the
Climbing Sticks and 2899 on the Strap-on Steps. Failure of the
product could result in serious injury
to users as a result of falling from heights.

NOTICE
TO: All Owners and
Users of the Gorilla Ultra Lite Climbing Stick Model 3163
Game Tracker, Inc. is
recalling some of its "Gorilla Ultra Lite Climbing Stick"
products sold in 2000 and 2001. Game Tracker, Inc. is
conducting this recall in cooperation with the United States Consumer
Product Safety Commission, who will
monitor its effectiveness. The climbing sticks involved in this recall
have batch serial
numbers
of 040501, 050501, or 060801 which can be found stamped on the gray
tubular portion of the climbing
stick between the bottom
and middle steps. The climbing sticks are sold in boxes of three, but only
one climbing stick will have a
batch serial number on it.
This recall is because some
of the metal buckles which are used to strap the climbing stick onto the
tree may fail when subjected to a
person's weight, which could cause the user to fall, with serious injuries
resulting.

All
